The inspiration for this quilt came from the headboard on my bed in Mesa. It has a latilla pattern made from the spines of a big Saguaro cactus that fell in my back yard. It will make a colorful addition to my bedroom when I get back to Arizona.
Oh so excited. I am about to complete a year long, labor intensive, queen size quilt. I think pillow shames will be needed too so that will take some more time before sending it off to the quilter. After seeing it on the bed, not sure I will want shams - maybe just throw pillows and I can quilt them myself. So it will be off to the quilter as soon as I get the backing.
