A quilt for Madilyn Barbara Dorsch

On July 5, 2012 Miss Madilyn entered the world at a big 5 pounds. This quilt was made just for Madi and she is growning and becoming a very pretty little girl. 

 Michael, Amber and MaKenna are preparing to welcome that new girl.

The Forest Animal featuring Mr Owl is a total flannel crib quilt.  The first child for Mr  & Mrs Matt Wolfe will arrive in April. The nursery decor is owls.

HOOOT - HOOOT

Today I fisished piecing a queen size quilt that was to be real simple.  I bought two jelly roll packages and started the long seams putting them all together.  But, my measurements were very different from the store clerks guestimate.  So I created a couple side borders and added inches at the top and bottom to make a "close to" queen quilt.  It is very colorful and will be very useful.  I will be sending the little farm animal quilt and this one to the quilter soon.

 

Projects for 2011 Complete

This was the final quilt for 2011.  It is a crib size with a panel of farm animals.  It will be sent to the quilter as soon as I find some fannel for the backing.  The quilt was much cuter in the package....not my favorite quilt.
